Alyssia
I have the most beautiful brunette headed niece, Alyssia. She is the kindest person I know. Always popular in school with many friends. She did graduate from High School, but sometimes I wonder how she has managed to succeed. She is a dumb blonde if I have ever met one!
Reading her face book comments is the high light of my day. Her comments bring lots of comments from her friends asking “Are you serious?” Family replies “you don’t know her at all if you ask that, yes, she’s serious!” Poor Alyssia, she really has no idea what she is saying sometimes.
One time, we were walking down the street. There was a container, oddly shaped labeled “BUTTS”. I watched Alyssia stare at it for some time, before replying “It’s for cigarette butts.” Finally, acknowledgement crossed her face. She had been wondering how people sat on it!
Years ago, I asked her about her SAT’s she had taken that day.
“How did you do on your SAT’s?” I asked.
“I did really well except for one part, it really stumped me.” She replied.
“Really? What was it about?”
“Danuh.”
“What? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that either.”
“They had a whole section on it; I couldn’t answer any of it.”
“How do you spell it?”
“ D N A.”
“Alyssia, DNA??”
“Oh!” She smiled. “I know that!”
I nearly died laughing.
